On January 14, 2015, before the Saskatchewan Provincial Court, Aevitas Inc., pleaded guilty to a charge following the release of approximately 100 litres of oil containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) from a tractor trailer at a weigh scale near Saskatoon, an offence under the PCB Regulations and the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999).
